Higher Level Teaching Assistant

I am a musical, creative person who likes to laugh! My life changed while studying with Trauma Informed Schools, (TISUK). I realised then that I wanted to learn everything I could about working with young people who have experienced trauma. I have an amazing wife who is a Nail Technician and we have two beautiful sons, who keep us very busy. In my spare time I love to perform in bands and like reading autobiographies of musicians.
I believe wholeheartedly, that a trauma responsive culture is the only way to be in any educational setting. When placing relational practise and attachment at the core of interaction, we let children know that they are seen, cared for and heard. I recognise the importance of giving children the space to share their story and know that no two children have the same experiences. Ultimately, ‘no significant learning takes place without a significant relationship’- Dr.James Comer.
